Mission
To promote the application of pharmacometrics to direct patient care, the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP) and the American College of Clinical Pharmacology are dedicated to fostering an international Special Interest Group of scientists and clinicians who span a wide scope of therapeutic specialties. This group will positively impact the lives of patients worldwide.
Goals
- Create and maintain a forum for communication and collaboration between pharmacometricians with clinical interest and clinicians with an interest in pharmacometrics
- To advance the field of personalized medicine through expanded use of pharmacometrics in clinical practice.
How to Volunteer
- Look out for opportunities on the SIG discussion board
- Become a SIG member to receive email notifications for proposal submissions and other member engagement opportunities
- Email the SIG leadership to inquire about submitting a SIG-affiliated event to a relevant conference! (clinical.pmx.sig@go-isop.org)
Past, present and future activities and plans
Current Initiatives (Volunteer Today!):
- The SIG has enacted two Task Forces to strategically pursue its mission
- The Education Task Force seeks to provide pharmacometric education to the clinical and drug development communities
- The Outreach and Engagement Task Force seeks to engage SIG membership and relevant scientific, clinical and professional organizations to advance pharmacometrics-based precision dosing in clinical and drug development settings
- If you have an interest in either Task Force, please email the SIG leadership for more information: clinical.pmx.sig@go-isop.org
Future Initiatives (Volunteer Today!):
- The SIG will submit conference proposals to each ACoP and ACCP annual meeting. If you have a proposal idea you’d like to submit as a SIG-affiliated event at these meetings or others, please email clinical.pmx.sig@go-isop.org.
